Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a meeting of the Energy Council
Issues of further development of a number of mature oil fields were discussed at a meeting of the Energy Council chaired by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov.
With the participation of the leadership of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, central government agencies, the National Bank, JSC Samruk-Kazyna and the national company KazMunayGas, measures to increase investment and ensure stable operation of fields in the final stages of development were considered. In particular, issues of production volumes, employment and taxation were touched upon.
The Prime Minister outlined the importance of supporting such deposits for the stable supply of the domestic fuel and lubricants market, replenishment of the state budget and the National Fund, and preservation of jobs. In addition, a number of other pressing issues in the field of subsoil use were considered at the meeting.
