High-Level Conference Energy Week Central Asia & Mongolia to be Held in Astana
This year, the high-level renewable energy conference Energy Week Central Asia & Mongolia will be held in Kazakhstan for the first time (Astana, 19-20 September).

Launched in 2019 by the UK-based Invest In Network, Energy Week has become the region’s premier event. Every year, Energy Week brings together government agencies and leading companies from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Mongolia, as well as financial institutions and a pool of global investors from 20+ countries.

Topics for discussion in 2023 include:
• Energy security in the region amid global challenges. How can the region become a green energy hub?
• What do global developers need to invest in Central Asia and Mongolia?
• What are the current and planned reforms, and what is the approach of individual countries to attracting investment in light of global competition?
• How can the region stimulate green finance? Strategies, requirements and models for securing long-term investment
• What are the prospects for further hydropower development in the region?
• Development of solar and wind energy, as well as storage technologies
• Hydrogen economy – will the dream come true and when will green hydrogen be able to compete with coal, oil and gas in the region?
• Development of nuclear energy and comparability with other traditional “green” sources.
