Top 75 Leaders of Kazakhstan’s Oil and Gas Industry — 2026
TOP 75 Leaders of Kazakhstan’s Oil and Gas Industry — 2026

The leaders shaping Kazakhstan’s oil and gas industry are the people behind key decisions, new projects, technological advancement, and the growth of local businesses.

For the tenth consecutive year, KAZSERVICE magazine presents its annual TOP 75 ranking of the most influential figures in Kazakhstan’s oil and gas industry — 2026.

This year’s ranking is led by Yerlan Akkenzhenov, Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The ranking brings together senior representatives of government agencies, national companies, major subsoil users, international and Kazakh oilfield service companies, industry associations, as well as the scientific and business communities.

The 2026 ranking features 28 new entries, reflecting the ongoing transformation of the industry and the emergence of new leaders influencing its development.

How was the ranking compiled?

The ranking is based on the views and assessments of more than 20 industry experts, including journalists, analysts, representatives of consulting firms, and executives from major oil and gas companies.

Experts were presented with a list of 130 potential candidates, whose influence was assessed against a range of key criteria:

* company scale and value;
* share of oil production and market presence;
* volume of tax contributions;
* size and professional qualifications of the workforce;
* social and economic significance to the industry;
* position held and influence on industry decision-making.

TOP 75 is more than a list of titles and positions. It is an assessment of professional contribution, leadership, and influence — recognizing the people whose decisions are helping shape the future of Kazakhstan’s oil and gas industry today.

We congratulate all those included in the TOP 75 — 2026 and thank the industry community for its trust and contribution to the ranking.
